Master craftsmen, astrologers, and architects: the Aztecs built their world in harmony with nature. Tizál is derived from an Aztec word meaning 'of the earth,’ drawing inspiration from this ethos and Tezcatlipoca, a cornerstone of Aztec mythology and their worldview.

He represented celestial creativity. He was the soul of the world, the creator of the sky and the earth, the lord of all things, both powerful and arbitrary. He was considered the patron god of kings and warriors while also being known as the protector of the helpless.

Each bottle of Tizál features Tezcatlipoca and his obsidian spirit mirror, urging all to embrace balance in their lives.

Responsibly produced with love

Tizál is additive-free and produced by a family-owned distillery in the highlands of Jalisco. Our blend of mature highland and lowland blue agave offers an agave-forward flavor profile across the blanco, reposado, and añejo expressions. We rest the blanco in bourbon barrels for up to 18 months to create complex and layered flavors on the palette for the reposado and añejo.

Our tequila is produced with zero waste. All spent materials are composted, donated to local farmers for agriculture, and used to cultivate new agave plants.
